8 October 55-51 : Coal Harbour Shipping Categories:1955, Air Photo, View-NorthWest Tags:Coal Harbour, Downtown, Vancouver Mark This is Coal Harbour in Vancouver from 1955. A cool view of the shipping and rail activity going on in the area. The only tall building in the area is the Marine Building on Burrard Street. Also the entrance to the skytrain tunnel – entirely visible. Are those oil/fuel tanks right over the harbour – hard to imagine today. and no Westin Bayshore.
