This is the CPR Wellcox Yard and Car Ferry Dock in Nanaimo from 1956. You can see remains of the dock are still there today.

This photo was originally labelled the “CNR Car Ferry Dock” but I’m told this is NOT what is in the photo.

This was the CPR yard & ramp for loading rail on barges and rail ferries. It is now owned by Seaspan Ferries and still is in operation.

This is NOT the CN ferry dock. This is Wellcox yard for CP. CN used the Tidewater spur.

Great photo but I believe it is of the CPR dock, not CNR. I don’t believe CNR had any presence in Nanaimo.

Hi, in the index, the photo was labelled CNR Car Ferry Dock. Does anyone know for sure?
