I wasn’t born yet in ’47 but I can see the old house we lived in for a while at 619 Queens Ave between Douglas and Government Streets back in ’55 – ’57. My kindergarten class was at North Ward School on Douglas and I can make out the old Memorial Arena under construction on Blanshard. Way cool!
